Revenue, store proceeds, and owner proceeds

Customer-paid revenue is the amount users pay. Store proceeds subtract the assumed platform fee and refunds. Owner proceeds subtract the app’s other operating costs. Keep these labels separate in a sale listing.

Choose the fee that applies

Apple and Google fees depend on the program, product, and current platform terms. Confirm the applicable tier in your developer account and current official documentation rather than assuming every app pays the same percentage.

Review Apple’s Small Business Program and Google Play’s service-fee documentation for current details.

What is not included

The calculator does not model country-specific taxes, foreign exchange, alternative billing programs, subscription-specific terms, or payout timing. Use actual provider and store statements for buyer diligence.

For valuation, move from proceeds to normalized owner earnings with the app valuation calculator.
